Melbourne based Void of Vision have returned with a heavy new single “The Lonely People”. This follows on from the announcement of their upcoming tour under the same title. You can view the track’s official visualizer below.
“The Lonely People” is the band’s first new material since the release of Hyperdaze in September of 2019. The debut album saw a redux version earlier this year which included features from Liverpool’s own Kadeem France, Polaris’ Jamie Hails and Silent Planet’s Garrett Russell.
Vocalist Jack Bergin alongside members of Thornhill, The Beautiful Moment and Tapestry will be releasing their side project Cherry’s debut EP on September 24th. Offering a change in sound with swapping up the harsh vocals of Void of Vision for serenading lyrics.
Discussing the single, Bergin shares “For the first time in my life as a musician I was sharing the same experience as so many other artists, strangely connected and suffering simultaneously. Through the extremely isolating timeline that really just had no end in sight, with setback after setback, the insane desire to create and perform reached new unearthly levels,”
The metalcore quintet’s tour will take them across Australia to cities such as Perth, Sydney and the band’s hometown Melbourne. The tour will be begin on September 16th and round up on September 14th in Brisbane. They will be supported on this tour by post-hardcore band Deadlights and nu-metalcore outfit The Gloom In The Corner.
