Modern metal unit The Oklahoma Kid have today announced their sophomore record Tangerine Tragic, which is set for release later this year. With this the quintet released the second single from the album, “Melt Into You“, which follows up “Pale Tongue” which dropped at the end of last year. The video for the brand new single can be viewed below.
Tangerine Tragic will be produced by Jan Kerscher of Ghost City Recordings, who have previously worked with the likes of Northlane, Karnivool and Lantlôs. Guitarist Andreas Reinhard comments, “We are always trying to get different influences into our music, that’s why we were looking for a producer outside our genre, to get some new input. When we first met up with Jan, we knew he was a perfect match to record and produce our new material.”. For the music video the band teamed up again with Pavel Trebukhin known for his work with Imminence, Landmvrks, and Annisokay.
Tangerine Tragic is due for release on June 3rd via Arising Empire. The album can be pre-ordered here, and the official artwork and track-listing are below. For a full review of Tangerine Tragic and further news on The Oklahoma Kid, stick with Boolin Tunes.
