Joe recommends: Nearly three years on the deeply impressive a song you can’t feel anymore., post-hardcore unit Harm return and showcase their melodic 00s-inspired sound on dual single “Standing On Our Necks // Amber Wave”. Switching between mathier moments and metalcore heaviness, Harm showcase their ability to blend these influences to create something unique and captivating, with hopefully more to come from one of our favourite post-hardcore acts.

KILL CHAIN – Never Been Yours (Single)

Joe recommends: Featuring members of Comeback Kid, A Mourning Star and Bayonet Dismemberment, this Canadian hardcore supergroup of sorts show their prowess from the moment that “Never Been Yours” opens up. Old school riffs from Yates and Frizzelle pack out and command the track, with grizzly vocals from Neufeld giving Kill Chain’s sound a real hook. If this is anything to go by, Kill Chain are set to be a force in the hardcore scene going forward.

Dobbin recommends: We don’t usually double-dip for our staff picks within a single release cycle, but here’s a worthy exception. The second track from Nothing Ends Quietly is fantastic post hardcore that infuses the desperation of screamo into its vocals. The lyrics ache to be called back (“Don’t pray for me / I’ve been doing better lately”) and their instrumentals are potent, serving the emotional message very well.

Killing Me Softly – Spring Promo ’26 (Double Single)

Jack recommends: Killing Me Softly has been at the forefront of UK metalcore for some time now. Their erratic blend of early Converge and modern hardcore has allowed them to stand out among their peers. Forevermore and Eight Pointed Futures (plus An Everlasting Mile if you grab a CD at a show) prove that their dominance shows absolutely no signs of ending. These tracks are the epitome of everything Killing Me Softly represents – at their peak, inciting violence with every chug and leaving nowhere to hide, all while narrated by Jono‘s menacing shrieks. This is violence distilled. Get to a show and witness the mayhem.
