Jack recommends: After nearly 4 years of silence, UK dreamo outfit Exit Dream have made their much-awaited return with “out your skin”. Atmospheric, anthemic, and built to be sung along to, Exit Dream still boasts something special; their ability to craft something so compelling from such a simplistic approach still truly sets them apart. If you were a fan back when the band initially began, or enjoy anthemic, half-gazey, half-alt-rock tunes, then “out your skin” is the track for you.

Dobbin recommends: The debut track from this Leeds post-hardcore and metalcore project, “Ink Runs Deep” is proudly rudimentary and refreshingly non-linear. Grimy vocals, addictive guitarwork, and an entirely live feel to the recording make the track land in style; a promising start and convincing track to get you down to one of their shows.

Kieran recommends: Dutch metalcore newcomers nothing ends quietly drop their debut single “When The Light Fades Away”. They embrace the resurgence of throwback metalcore and leave us with a refreshing take that is fully emotional and cathartic. Propelled by semi-clean vocals that wield lyrics sent from a bleeding heart, the band is set to be a must-try for anyone who likes their ‘core with a bit of emo.

Shane recommends: Torn Open have toed the line between deathcore and brutal death metal since their monstrous debut last year, and regardless of whichever side of the aisle your sound affinity sits, they’ve once again provided a pristinely maimed showcase that will sate listeners. “The Way Things Should End” empties the disentary-riddled kitchen sink with swaths of sonic filth from front to back, with hardly any breathing room.
