Joe recommends: Channeling a high-tempo blend of metalcore and alternative akin to that of Knife Bride, Mandragora present one of their strongest tracks yet in the form of “EGOMANIACAL“. Rapid and raw vocals Maisie Waterhouse, mixed with expansive cleans, make for captivating listen that proves that Mandagora are one of the UK’s underground on the verge of bigger things.

Joe recommends: Another vicious entry from Postal, “Far From Grace, Worthless Without Wings” shows that they are one of the most lethal units on The Coming Strife roster. It brings a bludgeoning double kick and gnarly riffs that match the might of the likes of God Complex. Their screamo-esque yells and screams ensure that Postal really do live up to their name.

Joe recommends: Another week, another band, and another barnstormer of a track that proves that Australia’s hardcore scene is the best in the world. Ratking deliver up a hardcore punk sound on “Rent/Revolt” with grooves that are an absolute earworm and vocal barks that give the sound a unique edge.
Sickheart – Wicked Game (Single)

Joe recommends: Sickheart has offered up a haunting and enchanting cover of a Chris Isaak classic, “Wicked Game“. The acoustic guitar strums are produced such that each pluck and chord can be heard in raw form to build a melancholic atmosphere, deepened by layered ethereal vocals. One of the most artistically worthwhile and altogether finest covers we’ve heard this year.
