Dobbin recommends: Boudicca are yet fantastic hardcore outfit coming out of Australia right now. “Constance” is a speedy track with proudly crackly bass and spiteful vocal delivery, full of classic riffs that are designed to make the body move. The track is a tribute to rejecting the comfort of pacifism and making direct action to build a better world. Not to be missed for fans of Dry Socket, Spaced, and angry, political hardcore (as it should be).
Quentin Sauvé – DRAWING THE LINE (Single)

Dobbin recommends: A fresh toe-tapper from Quentin Sauvé, this project fuses indie, folk, and of course, a hint of Birds in Row‘s post punk style. Lyrically it faces down toxic friendships, a quiet anthem for standing up for yourself and getting the help you need. With drums performed by the track’s producer and brother Amaury Sauve, there’s a strong sign that the next Quentin chapter will reinvent his approach once more.

Hayley W recommends: Smiling Politely, a post-hardcore / emo band from Cheltenham who are relatively freshly formed, have released their fifth single “Ghosts” – an emotive and raw song that channels the angst of a breakup. The vocalist Lee Taylor demonstrates his versatile vocal abilities, seamlessly transitioning from stressed screams to lamenting cleans. The song is capped off with a hypnotic 50-second guitar solo, which provides relief while the listener processes the sadness of the lyrics.
Viatorem – Kill Your Idols (Single)

Dobbin recommends: Centred on metalcore and fused with nu and death styles, London’s anti-fascist Viatorem show they know how to rage and groove on the blistering new “Kill Your Idols“. Wielding riffs that have their own gravitational pull, they bring true punk attitude into the sonic arena of modern metal. Perhaps most importantly, lately Viatorem have garnered some notoriety on socials for saying it how it is, turning keyboard warrior vitriol into literal donations for those on the ground in Gaza, through The Sameer Project.
