Following on from their 2021 full-length, Stargazer, Moodring have today announce their sophomore EP, entitled Your Light Fades Away. The three track EP includes new single “WOULDYOUWAITFORME?“, which sees a further evolution in Moodring’s sound, along with “BLACK_WAVE”, this latest track was co-written by stalwart iRis.EXE.
Debuting with Showmetherealyou in 2021, Moodring developed a foothold that saw the release of one of 2022’s standout releases, Stargazer. This has then seen them since tour alongside the likes of Cane Hill, Dayseeker and The World Alive, the live footage of which was used for the music video of “Red Light Gossip“.
Now 2023 sees Moodring enter a new era with their elevated sound and a fresh line-up, including the introduction of Jon Mackey on bass, formerly of Vatican and current member of deathcore unit PSYCHO-FRAME. Along with Brandan Lopez on decks, who works alongside Young on production at The Swamp Sound. The line-up is rounded out by guitarist Sean Dolich, Lindy Harter on drums, and Hunter Young on vocals. The EP will see a short array of three tracks, with “SHI=DEATH” the final track to be revealed, which will accompany “WOULDYOUWAITFORME” and “BLACK_WAVE” on the EP.
