Bring Me The Horizon Set to Play Count Your Blessings in Full at Special Outbreak Event

Bring Me The Horizon are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album, Count Your Blessings, with a complete re-recording, and are set to play the album in full for the first time ever in a special collaboration with Outbreak at Manchester’s B.E.C. Arena in July.

Set for release on July 10, Count Your Blessings | Repented is described as a “reactivation” and “recontextualisation” of the Sheffield outfit’s 2006 deathcore opus, and has been mixed with the help of esteemed producer Buster Odeholm to produce something “sharper, heavier, and more vital than ever.” “Liquor & Lost Love” has also been changed its original working title: ‘Dragon Slaying.’

Twenty years on from their debut, Bring Me The Horizon are headlining festivals across the world, but they have never forgotten their roots. Returning to the north of England, and to the modern home of hardcore in Outbreak, the quartet will commemorate the release by playing a whole host of their early material, and are supported by a plethora of bands whom they have inspired — home and abroad.

Leeds’ very own Static Dress are the main support, having previously opened for Bring Me The Horizon on the Post Human: NeX GEn tour, and will be sure to rule the stage with new material from their upcoming sophomore album, injury episode. Other UK representation comes in the form of metalcore quartet Heriot, hardcore supergroup Still In Love, and mathcore legends Rolo Tomassi, who emerged from the Sheffield scene around the same time as Bring Me The Horizon and have stamped a similar legacy in their own genre. Meanwhile, Portland’s Dying Wish return to the UK after supporting Malevolence at the tail end of last year, and LA-based emo outfit Car Underwater are set to make the trip for the first time.

An ode to metal past and present, and spanning two stages and a host of alternative genres, this is a landmark performance you will not want to miss. It will also be an experience come full circle for many involved, including former member and founder Curtis Ward, who was an integral part of creating Count Your Blessings and now returns with his new project, Still In Love. If you’ve ever wanted to experience cult classics like “Pray For Plagues” and “(I Used To Make Out With) Medusa” live, now’s your chance.

This one-off Outbreak Presents will take place at B.E.C. Arena in Manchester on July 10. Fans who pre-order Count Your Blessings | Repented HERE will be entered for pre-sale access to the show which begins at 10am on April 15th. General sale starts at 10am on April 17th.
