Sheffield’s finest, Malevolence, have announced new record Malicious Intent, set for release this spring. With this announcement, the quintet revealed new single “On Broken Glass“, the video for which was filmed in the band’s hometown.
Regarding the video, Alex Taylor commented, “The video was filmed on location in Malevolence’s home town Sheffield. Directed by long time friend Daniel Prieß, the concept of the video was simple; to capture the raw energy of Malevolence in a live environment. Everything behind the video was done completely DIY by the band, from hiring the venue, stage and crew to inviting close friends and family down to the shoot. The video encapsulates the loyalty and passion that Malevolence’s fans have for the band”.
The band’s third full-length follows on from 2017’s Self-Supremacy. In the five years since its release Malevolence have tirelessly toured and released a trio of songs under the EP title “The Other Side”, notably featuring Knocked Loose’s Bryan Garrett on track “Keep Your Distance“. Malicious Intent will see features from two Matts, with Matt Honeycutt of Kublai Khan TX and Matthew K. Heafy of Trivium appearing on the record.
