Volumes Announce Fourth Studio Album + Share “Bend”

California four-piece djent outfit Volumes have at last shared details on their highly anticipated fourth studio album, Happier?, due for release next month via Fearless Records. The announcement comes with a brand new single titled “Bend“. You can view the track’s official music video below.

‘”Bend” is about how, in a relationship, sometimes one person can break another while all along they never seem to bend or break themselves,” says singer Michael Barr on the brand new single. “It’s really about how we can easily turn into someone else and start to tear each other down.”

Happier? marks the first full-length release from Volumes since 2017’s genre-defying album Different Animals. Following the return of original vocalist Michael Barr in January of 2020, the metalcore group have been consistently releasing singles since. Starting with the surprise release of “holywater” in January, followed by the releases of “Pixelate” and “Weighted” later in the year, the group demonstrated a return to the djentier sound of their early years.

Further, the group released Get Enough back in August, being our first confirmed taste of what was to come on their latest full-length. Now confirmed to include 2020 single “Weighted” too, we have now heard three of the 11 tracks on offer.

Happier? will be available on November 19th via Fearless Records, and you can pre-order the record here. Further, you can view the album’s official artwork and track listing below. For all things Volumes, metal and music in general, including our upcoming review of Happier? in November, keep it locked on Boolin Tunes.
