Swedish thall pioneers Vildhjarta have at last announced their sophomore record, måsstaden under vatten. To accompany the announcement, the group also shared two new singles titled “toxin” and “kaos 2“. You can view the track’s official visualizers below.
måsstaden under vatten comes ten years following the group’s initial 2011 effort, måsstaden, shook the progressive metal world at large with its atypical riffing and brooding atmosphere. Since then, Vildhjarta have released only one extended release, 2013’s Thousands of Evils EP, and have spent the past five years building up to and teasing what we now know as måsstaden under vatten.
Further, both “toxin” and “kaos 2” have been the subject of numerous teases over the past few years, with “kaos 2” having been believed to be the prospective album title for some time.
At a whopping 17 tracks, featuring 13 entirely new tracks, as well as the four already-released singles, måsstaden under vatten is looking to be an avant garde metal goliath.
