Now 16-year veterans, Trivium, have announced their tenth studio album In The Court Of The Dragon. The announcement comes with with brand new single titled “Feast of Fire”, the video which was shot by director John Deeb, can be viewed below.
In The Court Of The Dragon will come just 18 months following Trivium’s previous album What The Dead Men Say. The Florida-based band released the title track for the now announced album as a single last month, which lead to plenty of speculation about what the upcoming project might be.
When discussing “Feast of Fire”, Gregoletto begins with “There’s always that one song you aren’t expecting when you begin writing a new album” and further adds “It could be a riff written on the spot in the rehearsal space, a lyric that pairs just right with a melody, or in the case of ‘Feast of Fire,’ sitting right there in front of us in the middle of a demo that Corey brought in. We were well into pre-production at Full Sail when we all decided that something about the demo we had tracked was good but could be even better. Our producer Josh Wilbur even had in his notes: ‘Bridge is special, maybe so special it needs its own song.’ We tore the song apart and began again on the spot.”
On Twitter, Gregelletto also confirmed that “The Phalanx, Fall Into Your Hands, and The Shadow Of The Abattoir are all 7+ minute tunes for you freaks that like long songs”. With Beaulieu adding that “And for you freaks The Phalanx is a re written song leftover from Shogun”.
In The Court Of The Dragon will release on October 8th via Roadrunner Records. Pre-orders can be found here, and you can view the album’s official artwork and tracklist below. For more news on Trivium and a full review of In The Court Of The Dragon, keep it locked on Boolin Tunes.
