Deathcore titans The Acacia Strain have announced the coming of their eleventh studio album, titled Step Into The Light. The announcement arrives on the back of punishing new single “FRESH BONES”, the second track from the album put out thus far, following the release of “UNTENDED GRAVES” last December. The Acacia Strain have once again teamed up with frequent collaborator and producer Randy Lebeouf for the new album, as well as artist Caelan Stokkermans for the album’s artwork, both of whom previously worked on the 2020 album Slow Decay.
“Excited to finally be able to talk about the next chapter of The Acacia Strain,” says vocalist Vincent Bennett. “As soon as you think you know what you’re getting, we try to surprise you. Hold your breath for a bit — we might just surprise you again.“
If you thought The Acacia Strain would be slowing down anytime soon, “FRESH BONES” and “UNTENDED GRAVES” are sure to prove you wrong. Laying the groundwork for what is looking to be a scorcher of an album, the crushing tandem of tracks show that the veteran group are still at the top of their game nearly three years on from Slow Decay. Given how fast some of the more exclusive vinyl variants for Step Into The Light sold out, it seems safe to say that the hype for the upcoming album has been effectively built.
February will see The Acacia Strain finishing up their supporting gig on Deez Nuts’ European tour before embarking on their own North American co-headlining tour with FIt For An Autopsy in March, with support from Full Of Hell and Primitive Man.
