STRUCTURES Return, Announce ‘None of the Above’ EP

Thought to be long-lost Canadian djent group STRUCTURES have returned, debuting a new single titled “Planet of Garbage“, and announcing a new EP titled None of the Above. You can view the new single’s official music video below.

None of the Above is set to be the first official release from STRUCTURES since their indefinite hiatus back in late 2014 after the release of Life Through a Window. The EP’s namesake seems to be in reference the group’s debut 2010 EP, All of the Above.

The group’s new lineup features three of the group’s original members, Brendon Padjasek, Spyros Georgiou and Andrew McEnaney. This was the same lineup the group held briefly before their disbandment, with Nick Xourafas and Spencer MacLean stepping down in early 2014, and not returning for this reunion.

The EP is set to contain vocal features from both Counterparts/END’s Brendan Murphy, as well Volumes’ Michael Barr. The former of which being drummer Andrew McEneney’s former bandmate in END, before McEnaney’s departure from the group at an unknown time. He was later replaced by former The Dillinger Escape Plan drummer Billy Rymer.

Further, Michael Barr’s contribution to the EP may signify this is the closest fans will get to hearing the fabled cancelled VOL/TURES project, a collaborative effort between Volumes and STRUCTURES that never saw the light of day.

In related news, vocalist/guitarist Brendon Padjasek recently stepped down from his position as Northlane’s bassist. It is now believed that his departure from the Aussie metal group was due to the the reformation of STRUCTURES.

None of the Above is set for release on July 9th via self-publishing. You can view the EP’s official artwork and track listing below, and we will update the article with pre-order links when available. For all things STRUCTURES, and metalcore in general, keep it locked on Boolin Tunes.
