Perth metallic hardcore outfit Sedative (formerly known as Grenade Brain) have shared their debut single, titled “Cough Medicine“. You can view the track’s official music video below.
The metallic hardcore outfit explained the re-brand in the following statement “We are Sedative. We’ve changed a lot this year and have a whole world of things to show you. Shows that have already been announced with our past name and image will be the times we appear under that guise. We hope you stick with us and enjoy what’s to come. Perth Misery”.
When discussing “Cough Medicine”, vocalist Matthew Daly says “…about the agony that is presented from not coping with something. Lyrically speaking, the song talks about abusing alternate methods of release, to escape the turmoil that one may be dealing with, whilst also touching on the unfortunate mental state that can be brought on as a result of both the situation to begin with, and also the poor means of coping.“
Alongside this announcement the band confirmed they will be performing their debut shows in Australia as Sedative alongside Vengeance on June 25th and 26th in Perth and Bunbury.
