Rolo Tomassi Reveal Next Album “Where Myth Becomes Memory” & Drop New Single

Following on from their return earlier this year with single “Cloaked“, Rolo Tomassi have today announced their sixth studio album titled Where Myth Becomes Memory. The announcement comes with brand new single “Drip“, the video which accompanies the single can be viewed below.

Guitarist Chris Cayford explains a bit about the importance of “Drip” “When we start the writing process for each record, we always wait for the first song that clicks. It feels similar to our music but is also intangibly different to the extent we know it’s the next step and we need to build the album around it. This was the song that did that”

Where Myth Becomes Memory was recorded and produced with Lewis Johns at The Ranch Production House earlier this year. Based out of Southampton, Johns has worked with breakout UK artists like Employed To Serve, Palm Reader and SVALBARD, among others. This is the first full-length follow-up to their 2018 release, Time Will Die and Love Will Bury It, which saw the band enter the forefront of the scene.

“This is a really important album for all of us,” explains James (Spence), “Of anything we’ve done, it’s the one I’m most proud of. I think it’s the most ambitious and creative that our band has ever sounded and something that we’ve all needed to get through the last few years. We can’t wait to share it and to have you help us bring it to life.

In September the Sheffield based band announced they have signed to MNRK Records (formerly known as Koch Records and eOne Music), the label who also host bands such as Great American Ghost and Within The Ruins. This comes after Rolo Tomassi announced their departure from their previous label in September 2020. Rolo will also be performing in Brighton on this coming Friday, which will be the bands first live show in two years.

Where Myth Becomes Memory will release on February 4th via MNRK Record , and you can find pre-orders here. Further, you can view the album’s official artwork and tracklist below. For further news on Rolo Tomassi and a review of Where Myth Becomes Memory, keep an eye on Boolin Tunes.
