We are visited yet again by the wrath of the Frame. The majority community-consensus kings of the MySpace deathcore revival movement have left a homicidal trail of bloodshed since their debut in 2023. REMOTE GOD SEEKER and AUTOMATIC DEATH PROTOCOL were brass-knuckled statements of purpose; a carnivorous pair of exhibitions to show what getting back to the brutal basics of a genre can do. Many were beginning to take notice, as PSYCHO-FRAME deservingly became the next addition to SharpTone Records’ growing roster of talent and released a one-two haymaker combo of singles to boot earlier this year. Without resting on their barbed laurels for too long, “THE PORTAL” followed shortly after. So if you were expecting anything short of feeling like being impaled on a jagged spear and having your insides used as lubricant as it’s jerked up and down on whatever was to follow, you are sorely mistaken.
PSYCHO-FRAME’s latest showing of violence in “BLUEPRINTS FOR IDOL GENOCIDE” eradicates everything in its path. No amount of defense will stop the prevailing assault of chugs and speaker-breaking bass drops this song has to offer. It should be all the more appropriate that such a single is unleashed alongside the announcement of their forthcoming debut album, SALVATION LAUGHS IN THE FACE OF A GRIEVING MOTHER.
