Shane recommends: Ashes At Last continue to unleash their crabcore recollections of yesteryear with “Johnnie Guilbert Stole My Flow”. Synths, deathcore drops, and an emo-tive chorus span a four-minute treasure trove of nostalgic expression. It’s starting to seem as though Ashes At Last have acquired a time machine or have been unfrozen from cryogenic chambers; this is the closest thing to old-school Asking Alexandria, Upon This Dawning, and Misery Signals mashed into a beast of a track.
Daria Arkova – What I’m Not (feat. Cage Fight) (Single)

Dobbin recommends: Daria Arkova first dropped this track a few months ago, breaking open the doors of autumn in sombre style. The stripped back riffing gives Arkova’s vocals and poetry the space to chill you to the core, becoming a relentless storm by its end. This redux edition features Rachel Aspe of Cage Fight yielding brutal gutturals and screams to take it to a new dimension.
Starved – Feed Your Head (Single)

Nick recommends: Right as the sun begins to set on 2025, Starved have finally returned to the fold with “Feed Your Head“, a 3 minute affair that sees the hardcore underdogs at the top of their game. Erratic hardcore vocals and riffs laid atop frenetic drumming and flavourful industrial elements, Starved successfully retain every aspect of their highly addicting sound, and we can only hope even greater things are on the horizon for 2026.

Dobbin recommends: Mall slowcore? It sounds crazy, but maybe that’s what Upsetter are doing. Beefy, fuzzy guitars prowl beneath essential emo choruses across Upsetter’s “Best years of my life”. Their dual vocals work so well, leaving you feeling woozy and a bit depressed.
