STAFF PICKS
CHUG – RAZZLE DAZZLE (Single)

Joe recommends: The new era of CHUG continues to impress, as the raw and rapid “RAZZLE DAZZLE” sees the duo drop their heaviest track to date. One that they themselves say is “for the moshers“, it’s got that frantic CHUG nature which makes it such a thrilling listen. It closes out in a breakdown which is absolutely one to whack out the spin kicks to, and, maybe even some sort of mosh-dance hybrid.
DasGak! – Trixie (Single)

Dobbin recommends: With such a delinquent name, you won’t be expecting the glistening chime that DasGak! bring on “Trixie”. The band bring raw and pained screams into a classic alternative sound, balancing strong melodic sensibility with the grit of grunge and post hardcore. The track features fellow Irish companion Jake O’Driscoll of God Alone fame to sharpen the atmosphere of longing.
Entropic Rot – Scum (Single)

Shane recommends: Still fervently hot on the heels of … And Euphoria for the Hellish, Bristol-based slamming deathcore sadists Entropic Rot have only amplified their tonnage a hundred-fold on “Scum”. Dissonantly sweltering slamcore of this flavor remains singularly patented by the ever-impressive five-piece, thanks in large part to an even more considerable emphasis on hardcore-adjacent elements this time around. Entropic Rot’s latest steel boot to the teeth is the exact kind of sonic precursor that sets an incalculably jarring tone for whatever follows, and here’s hoping that materializes very soon.
Ratking – Bitter Irony (Single)

Dobbin recommends: Perth’s Ratking makes tracks that are so short they couldn’t fit a single morsel of nonsense in them, and “Bitter Irony” is a sterling example. Opening on a riff that could start a circle pit, the first runner wouldn’t even complete a 360 before the band switches to determined palm mutes, whilst Josh Reeves commands with his powerful and gritty shouts. We’re begging to see how this fits into the larger world of a likely incoming LP or EP.
