Joe recommends: Cober Mouth are certainly proving themselves to be the next heavy hitter as each single drops, with latest entry “CESSPIT” further adding to that. The nu-core wrath and grit that will see walls being kicked through in a live setting runs through the track from the get go. Rapid and relentless throughout, “CESSPIT” is setting the bar within the scene.

Joe recommends: As part of their summer of tours, Moon Reaper have dropped a brand-new single in the form of “Dirge of the Moons“. Showing their penchant for black metal and fusing it with all that is holy in hardcore and death metal, it makes for an enthralling listen. Further proving themselves as one of the UK’s gems, it’s merely a matter of time before Moon Reaper break out into the wider metal scene.

Joe recommends: As they march towards their debut full-length in the form of Break The Ice, Negative Frame prove their versatility on second single “Sorrow & Solitude“. Known for their brutal and cutting edge, this time Negative Frame lean into the ballad side of things to deliver an expansive and grandiose track. This further adds to the sense that Break The Ice will be 2026’s dark horse.
