Nick recommends: UK nucore ragers Starved present their first taste of new music in two years in the form of “It Happened Near Your Home“, a three minute onslaught filled to the brim with their signature hardcore-inspired riffs and infectious nu metal grooves, topped off by a savage concluding breakdown. Atop this tight musicianship is a ruthless vocal feature from Graphic Nature’s Harvey Freeman, cementing the track as an early nucore song of the year contender and a hypeworthy comeback for an otherwise underrated outfit.

Max recommends: Coming out of the gate swinging, UK newcomers Malice (prominently featuring ex-Monasteries members Josh Davies and Aaron Wright) provide an unrelenting two minute onslaught with their debut single, “Underneath“. With frantic riffs, ferocious vocals and pummelling percussion aplenty, this is a more than promising debut from an act you should be keeping your eyes and ears on.
