Dobbin recommends: Enabling Behaviour are fairly new on our radar. Previously we were impressed by the groove on “Tastes of Metal”, and now “Juliet Is the Sun” shambles out of the summer shade, like an unearthed Pink Floyd track. Simple retro charm is entangled with the dejected attitude of modern shoegaze for a unique track. It’s perfect for sweltering days where reality itself slips into iridescence.
King Yosef – Molting Fear (Single)

Dobbin recommends: Always known for ambitious takes on industrial metalcore, King Yosef has perhaps never sounded more bold than on “Molting Fear”. With breakdowns through caverns of glitch, disgusting percussion and synthesisers that make guitars sound like pure parody, there’s every indication that Spire of Fear will be a watershed album for King Yosef.

Shane recommends: Kentucky-based metalcore outfit Surfaced are hardly any strangers to amalgamating hardcore ideals into an already punishing brand of sonic fury. Wasted In Hatred is a diverse delivery of rudimentary metalcore staples enriched with finger taps, slow-burning riffs, and everything in between. Surfaced’s penchant for reminiscently brutal execution of cross-genre sound has been unwavering since the very beginning. With Wasted In Hatred, they take their initial gear of a thousand and turn it up tenfold.

Joe recommends: A simply gorgeous track that draws on elements from both post-hardcore and grungegaze. The soaring vocals and crunchy shoegaze-esque riffs are captivating, and will please the ears of any listeners of Moodring and Fleshwater.
