Joe recommends: After their impressive 2024 EP inlovetape, Houston unit cable are back with another absolute barn burner in the form of “FLOW“. Maddening in every sense of the word, cable invoke hellish screams that are intertwined with the vengeful EXOSSI vocals, making for a succinct and sublime feature, accompanied by some of the heaviest riffs and grooves offered up this year.

Jack recommends: Finally starting what is presumed to be the rollout of their long awaited sophomore album, Desolate are back, and this time they’re channelling their inner scene kid. Blending their signature nu-metalcore style effortlessly with a new-found emo approach, “notes from a dead house” showcases a versatility and level of skill which very few bands possess. If this is an indication of things to come, it’s safe to say that Oyasumi, Vol. 2 will be an absolute juggernaut of an album.

Joe recommends: Continuing where “empty ceiling” left off, rozemary showcase their melodic verses, intricate riffs and soaring cleans. They blast into heavier metalcore breakdowns and screams taking “apollo” to new heights of rage, proving how impressive rozemary are on both sides of the metalcore coin.
