Pirouetting guitars navigate precise paths, whilst the drums exactly match their jitter, maintaining the dreamlike style that is silverglass‘ own. This track is sure to please anyone looking for modern and forward-thinking instrumental tech.

Shane recommends: A fourteen-year absence between releases is practically an ice age. Back like they never left, Feast Of Corpses have aged like fine Canadian wine and display veteran prowess on “Au Bord de l’Extinction“. As sonically rigid and cold as the Northwest Passage itself, every tech death idiosyncracy is unleashed in full force on the heels of Native American thematic elements.

Dobbin recommends: A surprise drop from Civil Service came this week – the UK post rock underground wasn’t expecting to get an entire album from them so soon after /// LIGHT, introducing its counterpart /// DARK which drops later this year. “URBNDCY” ponders sorrowful lead lines with its slow moving tapestry of delays and drones, allowing a little levity in with some bongo-style drums. The True Spilt Milk Designs cover is stellar – Paul Holbrook-Phillips‘ art is helping to connect the dots between all the ambitious heavy bands at the moment, fast becoming a mark of quality.
