Loathe Share New Single “Dimorphous Display”

UK experimental metalcore outfit Loathe have shared a brand new single titled “Dimorphous Display” via Sharptone. You can find the track’s official visualizer below.

Dimorphous Display” – an almost direct synonym of “Two-Way Mirror” from the band’s second full length, I Let It In And It Took Everything – is the first taste of new Loathe material since 2021’s experimental ambient project, The Things They Believe. The single comes as a declaration for the new year, as the band are currently working on the follow up to 2020 studio album I Let It In And It Took Everything.

The single also kicks off a big year for the group, with the promise of new music on the way, and their 23-date US tour supporting Code Orange on the horizon, starting out just three months away in April.

Speaking on the new track, the band stated the following: “Dimorphous Display“, in its first iteration, had been in the vault for a good few years before we decided to start work on the song together as a band – so finally being able to release it into the world feels like a great accomplishment. The initial demo was filed soon after we had finished up with I Let It In And It Took Everything but with lockdowns occurring across the world, this gave us the opportunity to experiment with different collaborators and thus final tracking was completed some time in the middle of 2021 at Giant Wafer Studios. We worked alongside our new friend Eddie Al-Shakarchi on capturing the rawest incarnation of the Loathe sound to date and we are very happy with the result.”

It seems the group are gearing up to release more, too, with the promise of a second part to this creative collaboration slated for January 20th announced via social media, which you can view below.

With a big year ahead, it seems we will be hearing a lot from Loathe over the coming months. To stay in the loop, and keep up to date with all things Loathe, metalcore and music in general, keep it locked on Boolin Tunes. Further, we recently published our full gig review for Loathe‘s I Let It In And It Took Everything release tour, which you can find here.
