Norwegian collective Linda-Fay Hella & Dei Farne have today released “Los“, the second single from their upcoming album Hildring. The track which explores the mythology of the sea comes with new music video, which can be viewed below.
Hildring will be Lindy-Fays second album, following on from the 2019 release of Seafarer. The debut album was released under her own name, however since then there has been the introduction of Dei Farne who are the musicians; Roy Ole Førland and Ingolf Hella Torgersen.
About the meaning of “Los“, Lindy-Fay comments, “Los (lodesman) is the one who is guiding lost souls at Sea, to safer shores. Sometimes, those who did not arrive home again from their journey, were thought to be taken by Draugen, a well known, dangerous creature in Scandinavian folklore.”
Further speaking on the album, ‘Hildring’ is the Norwegian word for mirage. When on a long journey, you can start to wonder what is real and what is not, but at the same time, you are constantly seeking the unknown.”
Hildring will release on November 26th via By Norse. Pre-orders can be found here, and the artwork with the full tracklist can be seen below.
