Kaonashi Announce Long-Awaited Debut Album, Share First Single

Pennsylvania post-hardcore/mathcore outfit Kaonashi have announced their long-awaited debut album, Dear Lemon House, You Ruined Me: Senior Year, along with the release of a new single titled “An Evening of Motion Pictures with Scooter Corkle.” The single’s music video was directed by legendary The Number Twelve Looks Like You frontman Jesse Korman and seems to continue the story from their previous releases, following the character Jamie and his infatuation with a girl named Casey.

The record comes almost three years after their last EP, Why Did You Do It? in 2018. The single features a new dynamic for the group, most notably through fully clean sung vocals from frontman Peter Rono, and while the group are no strangers to the implementation of clean singing, it’s never been quite this much of a focal point in their sound.

The album drops on May 21st through Unbeaten/Equal Vision, and you can pre-order the record here. You can find the artwork and official track listing below.
