UK stalwarts Heriot have announced their highly anticipated debut record, Devoured by the Mouth, set to release this coming September on Century Media Records. Recorded with Josh Middleton, best know for his work in Sylosis and Will Putney who has worked with some of the strongest names in the genre such as Norma Jean and Vein.fm. The announcement has come with the release of the second single of the album, in the form of “Foul Void“, which follows on from “Siege Lord“. The latest track can be listened to below.
Initially catching attention in 2021 with singles such a “Dispirit” and “Recreant“, Heriot began to build their foothold on singles “Coalescence” and “Near Vision“, which would feature on their debut EP, Profound Morality. Through becoming a workhorse of the UK scene, playing every town, city and village hall up down the country, Heriot have more than established themselves as a mainstay of the UK scene, while seeing them supporting artists such as Architects and END.
Towards the end of 2023, Heriot announced they had moved to Century Media Records, previously be signed to Church Road Records. This came alongside single “Soul Chasm“, which marked the start of Heriot’s new era, despite the single being absent from the upcoming record. This and the recent singles, and the upcoming announcement will no doubt add to the pondering thought of how far Heriot will go, with their industrial-come-metallic hardcore sound.
Devoured by the Mouth is set to release September 27th via, with pre-orders going live this Friday. The record’s tracklist and along with the artwork can be viewed below. For a full review Devoured by the Mouth and further news on Heriot, keep it locked on BoolinTunes.
