After returning to touring and dropping single “Idealized” in 2023 after several years out, Gouge Away have announced their return to record with upcoming full-length Deep Sage, set to release this coming March. With this announcement, Gouge Away have dropped brand new single “Stuck in a Dream“, which can be viewed below.
After the aforementioned spell away from touring since 2019, which saw them perform alongside Hesitation Wounds that year and a tour across UK & Europe and the States in 2018, Gouge Away embarked on a headliner in their homeland this previous year. In between this, vocalist Christina Michelle had taken up the role of bassist for the shoegaze unit Nothing performing with them on tour and at festivals such as Outbreak 2022, which Gouge Away are set to perform at this year.
Becoming a staple of the hardcore scene with records ,Dies and Burnt Sugar, Gouge Away found themselves appealing across genres with blend of hardcore, punk and noise elements. Both records and releases prior kept the door open for the Florida unit to make a noteworthy return, and now look to further add to the quality of their discography with Deep Sage.
Deep Sage is set to release March 15th via Deathwish Inc., and can be pre-ordered here. The full tracklist and album can be viewed below, for a full review of Deep Sage and further Gouge Away news, keep an eye on BoolinTunes.
