Texas-based unit Fever Cult have released brand new single “Anodyne“, the up and coming project have shared yet another taste of their expansive dream-pop rock sound. Their brand new single can be viewed below.
Speaking on the record, vocalist and bassist Erin Quinn comments, “This song is definitely a bit of a breather from our other two singles we’ve released. To me this song feels like a 80s prom ballad. It’s a slower pace, but my favorite part is the pulsing synth that kicks in. It really feels like a whole mood shift and fills in the space without being overwhelming. Lyrically, I found the word anodyne using Merriam Webster’s Dictionary word-of-the-day and held onto it for a while. When I sat down with the demo, I pulled up my notes and it was almost like a catalyst for the rest of the lyrics. Overall, I really love this track and it feels like the right song to drop as our third release to the world.”
Originally formed in 2020 by guitarists Kyle Cade and Austin Cervantes, later recruiting Erin Quinn on bass and vocals to complete line-up that the trio now form. Debuting with single “Downtown” earlier this year, they showcased the sound they had refined over the past year. Following with “Over It” the dream-pop sound blended with rock and atmospheric elements was further unveiled. Set for their debut live performance in Dallas, Texas this coming November 13th, the trio will perform at South Side Music Hall alongside Dozer-TX, Nominee and All There Is.
