Employed to Serve have returned with “The Mistake”, this will be the third and final single from their upcoming album Conquering which releases next week. The track can be listened to below.
Guitarist/vocalist Sammy Urwin says, “‘The Mistake’ is about letting other people’s opinions of you seep into your subconscious and filling you with self-doubt. In life, you can’t always win over everyone. But don’t let the haters stifle your true potential and stand in between you and your goals.”
“The Mistake” comes six weeks on from “Mark Of The Grave”, this and “Exist” saw the Woking-based band introduce metal elements into their sound. The inspiration from this comes from the metal of their youth along with a new perspective on nurturing the positive aspects of humanity and individual growth. Speaking when the album was announced, vocalist Justine Jones commented “Conquering is about rising above adversity and self-doubt.“
Conquering will release on September 17th via Spinefarm Records and you can find pre-orders here. For a review of Conquering and news on Employed to Serve, stick around with Boolin Tunes.
