Danish based synthwave mainstay Dynatron has released a new single titled “Origins”. This is the title track from his upcoming album which will release next month. This official video for the track can be viewed below.
Since coming to prominence in 2012 with his debut full length Escape Velocity, Dynatron made his name known in the first half of the decade. Appearing on the soundtrack for the feature film Cold In July in 2014, and following up his debut work with Aternus in 2015, as well as the EP The Rigel Axiom in 2016. The aforementioned LP was his last piece of original work released by Dynatron.
On making his return from a five-year hiatus, Jesse Hasseriis, the man behind it all had this to say about Origins, “I wanted to explore orchestral sound, giving the album a more human feel. I used choir and strings on multiple occasions, mixing them against synth flourishes to create a supernatural aura.”
The video for “Origins” was animated by the French pixel pixel artist Kryssalian, overall the video took six months to make. Dynatron comments, “Kryssalian did an amazing job portraying this visually, and I’m very excited to release this video to the world.”
Origins will release on October 15th via Blood Music. You can find pre-orders here, and you view the album’s official artwork and tracklist below. For further news on Dynatron and a full review on Origins, keep an eye on Boolin Tunes.
