Deftones are seemingly plotting to make a third return to the United Kingdom in just over a 12 month period, with a possible headline at Outbreak London or a similar Victoria Park show on August 23rd. Headlining at Crystal Palace at the end of June, off the back of recently their sublime record, private music. Deftones performed to a baying crowd and now have seemingly got a taste for the UK crowds, as they are set to return to the UK as a headliner this coming February. Now a third date on August 23rd has appeared across billboards in East London.
Simply displaying “london 23/08/15“, with the artwork of private music across the billboard, this would suggest at a headline announce set for a London show or festival on the date. Speculation has lead to a possible Outbreak London headliner, with the festival confirming that the London iteration of the popular festival will now take place in the month of August, as opposed to June, when it took place this year. Outbreak London this year saw Turnstile headline and did lead question marks over which act could follow in their footsteps, with Deftones being a suitable fit for that billing.
However, with many other festivals taking place in both Victoria Park and across London, this could yet be another surprise from Deftones. With more details likely to be revealed sooner rather than later, given the billboards presence, many will wait with anticipation to see what is in store for London next year.
Update 10/11/2025: Outbreak and All Points East have both shared a teaser of the poster, all but confirming that Deftones will headline Outbreak London 2026.
