Dayseeker have announced they be will releasing a Deluxe Edition of the album Sleeptalk. The reissue will include reimagined versions of “Drunk”, “Sleeptalk”, “Crooked Soul” and “Burial Plot”. The last of the four has been released a single, the video for which can be seen below.
“Burial Plot (Reimagined)” sees the return of Seneca Pettee, who featured on original album track “Starving To Be Empty”, as well as the recent Hurtwave (vocalist Rory Rodriguez’s side project) song “New Year’s Eve”. “Burial Plot” will be the only reimagined track that the Los Angeles based singer will feature on.
When talking about the new “Burial Plot (Reimagined)”, frontman Rory Rodriguez had this to say: “‘Burial Plot (Reimagined)’ is a deeply personal song I hold very near to my heart and I always thought it would be really interesting to hear it done as a duet. Seneca Pettee was the obvious choice since she already sang on ‘Starving to Be Empty’ on the original album. The strings and piano we added really made it just sound like an entirely different song.”
Sleeptalk (Deluxe Edition) will release on 24th September via Spinefarm Records. Pre-orders for the album can be found here, and the official artwork for the album and the tracklist can be viewed below. For more news on Dayseeker, stick with Boolin Tunes.
