Metalcore outfit City State have released a new single titled “Dead Sun”, a follow up to “Into the Night” which was released last month. The video for the track can be viewed below.
The recent singles from the Michigan based quartet are their first since their debut LP Equinox in 2019. Originally formed in 2017 by Duncan Green (Guitar) , Logan Jahr (Vocals) and Parker Sovinski (Bass). The band was later joined by the addition of Daniel Bryan (Drums) in 2018, which then saw them release EP Finding Solace in Loss later that year.
“Dead Sun” is described as “About processing trauma, about how even routine things can seem wrong after you’re deeply harmed by someone, and how it can seem impossible to overcome.”
