Nashville unit Chamber have announced their sophomore record, A Love to Kill For, which is set to release this coming July. The record will follow on from last year’s surprise release, Carved In Stone, which saw Chamber expand and refine their sound with subtle electronic influences blended into the mix. The announcement comes with the drop of a brand new single, “Devoured“, featuring Matt Honeycutt of Kublai Khan TX.
The album news comes shortly after the huge announcement of Chamber joining Momentum, 156/Silence and Cell in supporting fellow Nashville outfit Orthodox on a summer tour across the United States. The tour will hit the likes of Houston, San Diego, Detroit and Nashville, with the latter seeing additional supports from Alert The Sky and Left Behind.
The aforementioned feature is not the only one on A Love to Kill For, with Boundaries vocalist Matt McDougal set to feature on track “To Die in the Grip of Poison“. McDougal featured on the recent DARKO US EP, DEATHMASK PT.2, which released in December of last year. Boundaries themselves are also set to release new track “Armageddon” this coming Thursday.
Commenting on the album Chamber had this to say, “It’s an album about people getting lost or mired in bullshit, whether that’s addiction or narcissism or selfishness,” says guitarist Gabe Manuel. “There are all sorts of ways the people you love can fail you in search of themselves, and ways people don’t come back from that.”
A Love to Kill For was once again produced by Randy LeBoeuf, who worked with Chamber on Carved In Stone and Cost of Sacrifice. Previously, the producer has worked with the likes of Kublai Khan, Jesus Piece, The Acacia Strain and Dying Wish, carving out a niche on the heavier end of the scene. The album will comprise of fourteen songs, including a self-titled song and a title track which is set to be the longest song in Chamber‘s discography to date.
A Love to Kill For will release on July 14th, via Pure Noise Records. You can pre-order the record here, and view the full tracklist and artwork below. For a full review of A Love to Kill For and further news on Chamber, make sure to follow Boolin Tunes.
