Midlands hardcore band Cauldron have today announced their debut full-length, Suicide in the City, set for release this coming November. The record will include last year’s release “Futile“, which released as a double single alongside “Crossing The Threshold“, as well as brand new single “Rejection Pact“, and can be listened to below.
Debuting in 2018 with EP, The Scars of Empty Faith, Cauldron began to gain traction with release of Last Words: Screamed from Behind God’s Muzzle in 2020. This lead to the aforementioned release of “Futile” and “Crossing the Threshold” to release on label The Coming Strife, who has been home to the likes of Renounced, Mourning and Last Wishes.
Track “Lonely Useless Orbit” will seen a return of World of Pleasure and Morality Rate vocalist, Jess Nyx, who previously featured on “In the Passing of a Season“. Earlier this year at shows supporting World of Pleasure in the UK, Cauldron debut the track with a live feature from the Canadian vocalist.
Guitarist Jon Dyke confirmed with the announcement that the record will be his last contribution to Cauldron as a member, with Jess Webberley of Graywave taking up the spot. Cauldron member Zak Jenkins is drummer for the shoegaze project who are signed to Church Road Records.
Remaining on The Coming Strife for Suicide in the City, American distribution will be handled by Ephyra, one of the standout labels of 2023 with release such as xNomadx, Balmora and Thus Spoke Zarathusrta. Cauldron‘s release will include several vinyl variants, which are listed here.
