Casey Announce Full-Length Record ‘How to Disappear’

Welsh quintet Casey have today unveiled the details of their upcoming record, How to Disappear, which is set to release at the start of 2024. The announcement comes alongside the album’s second single, “How to Disappear“, following on from the previously released “Puncture Wounds to Heaven“. The music video for the brand new track can be viewed below.

Casey made their return last year with “Great Grief“, quickly followed by “Atone”, after initially calling it quits in 2019 shortly after the release of Where I Go When I Am Sleeping. Performing a string of sold-out shows upon their return, Casey then entered the studio at The Ranch earlier this year to record the forthcoming album. Mixing and mastering was handled by Adam Cichocki of Timber Studios, who is also known for his role as the drummer of Gatherers.

During Casey‘s absence, many of them members moved onto other projects; Adam Smith (bass) linking up with Rhys Griffith in Mourn saw them drop impressive EP The Next Life, and Max Nicolai (drums) and Liam Torrance (Guitar) joined forces with Wes Thompson on project Exit Dream, releasing a string of singles including “kaleidoscope” and “last cadence“. The interim period has seen them hone their songwriting skills and return to Casey with the drive and passion the project deserves.

How to Disappear will release January 24th, 2024 via Hassle Records and Greyscale Records, and can be pre-ordered here. The record’s artwork and tracklist details can be viewed below. For a full review of How to Disappear, keep an eye on Boolin next year.
