Hot off the heels of announcing SPEED as the Saturday headliner, along with there being a no barrier, Burn It Down have announced the third wave of bands to perform at what is becoming this year’s most anticipated festival. The eyebrow raiser of this announcement will no doubt be the inclusions of Locked In and Stick To Your Guns. The former will perform ahead of the aforementioned SPEED on the Saturday, the act who have amassed an impressive popularity off the back of their debut full-length, The New Chaos. Stick To Your Guns will return to the United Kingdom, after a tour that included festival appearances at the likes of 2000trees. This will be part of the Friday, which is the all day no barrier, and will no doubt please tho who have launched themselves of stages over the years to Stick To Your Guns.
Roman Candle have also joined the line-up, who will bring their ferocious screamo sound, that was displayed on the highly rated Unadultered. Other new faces to Burn it Down will be the likes of Emergency Broadcast, TNL VZN, Incaseyouleave and Pest Control. All of whom will showcase different sounds from the underground sound, whether it’s Emergency Broadcast‘s lethal hardcore, TNL VZN‘s shoegaze tones or Incaseyouleave‘s emo and screamo blend. Of course, Pest Control are an incredible addition to the Friday, and their crossover thrash will make for a high-energy set which will hopefully be on the main stage.
Returning to Devon will be the likes of False Reality, who will perform for a third year in a row at Burn It Down, and are an act that many of us will never tire of seeing. Another is Not Without Punishment, who will no doubt bring Soton hardcore along with them to cause absolute chaos during their set. Exterminatus get another swing at Burn it Down, after performing at the quickly put together Thursday of last year, their Warhammer sound will once again blast through the walls of The Foundry‘s attic.
Burn It Down will take place from the 3rd to the 5th of September, across three venues in Torquay including The Foundry, tickets can be found here.
