Harrogate group Blood Youth have released a video for their brand new single “Body of Wire”. This is the third of their recent singles, following “Iron Lung” and “Cells” earlier this year. The aforementioned video can be viewed below.
Commenting on the single, guitarist Chris Pritchard had this to say “Body Of Wire is a song that came out of nowhere whilst writing for the new album. It all started with the one riff at the beginning and just exploded into this chaotic mix of just pure aggression and energy. There’s something about a song that just switches up formulas, doesn’t lose pace and just cuts the bullshit out and is essentially just 4 minutes of pure unforgiving riffs. Being that; this song quickly became one of our favourites.”
While a follow-up album or EP has yet to be confirmed, this sequence of singles is Blood Youth’s first material since the release of Starve in 2019. Set to complete a full headline tour this year with Death Blooms, the band will also be venturing on a co-headline tour of the UK and Europe with Cane Hill starting in February of 2022.
