LIVE GALLERY: Mångata Festival 2025

The brightest beacons in the sky are coalescing together.

Last weekend Mångata Festival took over a corner of Nottingham’s city centre, turning five venues into a jamboree of rock and metal. We focused our coverage on photography – if you want to read some insights on the line up, we can confidently say all of our key “bands to catch” put on stunning sets. The variety on offer was not only massive, from the most unhinged and intense extreme metal to bands championing the fundamentals of old hard rock, but it also honoured the sort of variety you get at a ‘local’ show. This is mostly a reflection of Nottingham’s local scene, as so many of the bands were from its surrounding area. Most importantly, Mångata Festival had an incredible atmosphere that can only be achieved at a ‘small’ event. It was an extremely friendly, with new connections being made left right and centre, and old friendships being rekindled. Next year’s event has already dropped part of its line up (VEXED, Raised by Owls, Red Method, In Search Of Sun, Hidden Mothers, and Hundred Year Old Man), and sold out of its early bird tickets (regular tickets available here).

Sets we shot are sorted alphabetically below. Photography by Dobbin T and Dory Valentine – contact our photographers prior to any use.
