Hellfest Preshow with Orthodox, Turmoil, Concealer., Advent & By My Blood at The Palace, Philadelphia

“There’s no room left for me.”

The road to New Jersey’s annual hardcore festival, Hellfest, was a hot one. The day before the big event saw a side show in Philadelphia, in a room roughly 200 strong. The sweltering heat of the city was no match for the heat emanating from The Palace. As intense as the 5 breakneck performances, the temperature only seemed to climb, until the outside air became a cool refreshment. Orthodox, in their first time headlining Philly, were joined by the hometown heroes in Turmoil, as well as first-time Philly-goers in up-and-coming post-hardcore outfit concealer. Rounding out the lineup was the Pennsylvania-native By My Blood and North Carolina’s Advent. From the first lick of guitar to the final shouts of Orthodox frontman Adam Easterling, The Palace became a wall of sound, fury, and mosh.
