“What’s it like knowing, none of you can foresee?“
Die Spitz put the marker for what could be one of Manchester’s best shows this year. The quartet demanded the pit open and the crowd move from the word go. Their headliner tour brought them to Gorilla, after upgrading due to the demand for tickets to see unit from Austin, Texas. The band filled the room with energy from the first note, playing grunge, metalcore, rock with their high octane doom punk sound. They formed in 2022 consisting of childhood friends Ava Schrobilgen, Chloe Andrews, Ellie Livingston, and Kate Halter. The quartet is politically charged and ready to mosh, their guitarist (Livingston) joins the mosh pit while continuing to play guitar and climbs speakers at any opportunity.
On their UK run, Die Spitz brought along Manchester’s very own punk trio, Aerial Salad. The trio are known for their Britpop, punk rock and Madchester influences. With a DIY ethos, gritty sound, and high energy, the guys brought an exceptionally chaotic performance to warm up the crowd for the headline act.
