In their usual fashion, Static Dress entered 2022 with teasers and cryptic clues hidden away in social media posts and mailing list emails. The latest chapter, and latest clue, in the quartet’s rise to being one of the UK’s top bands has been revealed. The video for “Di-sinTer” can be viewed below, with the song to be available on streaming platforms at midnight.
For those who had attended Download Pilot in 2022, “Placeholder” made its live debut under the guise of “Little” last year. More recently the track had been played on the recently cut short Creeper tour titled “d“. Alongside this another new track given the name “W.I” appeared on Static Dress’ setlist, which will likely be the follow on this single. As expected with this group, the aforementioned cryptic teasers were put up online, one of which can be viewed below.
Static Dress made their full release debut with “Prologue…” in December of last year, containing tracks such as “vague.” and “sober exit(s)” which delivered on the units hype. With this release, fans were able to purchase a Comic Book, which will likely be a continued trend for full releases. Teasers such as “this is just the start” were contained within the pages, previous music videos such as “sweet.” have seen vocalist Appleyard type out the words “album” which gives firm suggestion for what Static Dress have planned for 2022.
