Volumes Share Brand New Single “Happier?”

California djent quartet Volumes have shared another taste of what’s to come on Happier? with the album’s title track. You can view the track’s official visualizer below.

Showcasing the band’s sonic breadth, “Happier?” embraces both the band’s brutally heavy djent roots with the more refined, melodic sensibilities of their later work. Evoking a very Via-esque vibe in its gorgeously composed piano arrangement and its soaring atmosphere, “Happier?” is sure to be a fan favourite.

“”Happier?” is about how you watch someone destroy themselves and ultimately end up in a darker, negative space and feeling like your hands are tied,” the band explains about the track’s lyrical content. “It’s about feeling helpless to the fact that you once knew someone completely different then the person who is standing in front of you.”

The release of “Happier?” follows three previously released singles from the record of the same name; “Weighted“, “Get Enough” and “Bend“. Not content with sticking to any one sound, these singles demonstrate Volumes‘ willingness to experiment and shake up the formula or their iconic sound.

Happier? is due for release via Fearless Records on November 19th, and you can find pre-orders here. For all things Volumes, metalcore and music in general, including our upcoming review of Happier? in November, keep it locked on Boolin Tunes.
