UK based duo Modern Error have announced their sophomore album Victim Of A Modern Age, which is set for release early next year. With this announcement came the release of the third single, “The Truest Blue“, which can be watched/listened to below.
“The Truest Blue is a duality of audio and visual, expressing the idea of becoming absolute/ the purest version of yourself,” says Zak Pinchin. “Conceptually I wanted to paint the picture of a rebirth into a new world, one of which to reflect on the earth we all inhabit and see it what it really is. I question this life a lot, what it means to me and what it means to others. The Truest Blue in a sense is my reflection on the human condition in a brief and instinctual sense. I feel this also translates into how Modern Error is progressing, Into a new world of its own. This song sets us up on a much more honest path sonically. Modern Error will always evolve to the intention of its name.”
The Nine Inch Nails-esque track follows up previous releases “A Vital Sign” and an “Error Of The World“. Both of these tracks will accompany “The Truest Blue” on duo’s follow up to 2019’s Lost in the Noise. The brothers Zak (Vocals) and Kel (Guitar) have clear plans for Modern Error and aim to “make a statement about how we view the state of the world“.
Those heading to Loathe’s headline tour this December will be able to hear the new track as Modern Error will be providing support alongside shoegazers Slow Crush. This will be the first time they have toured since their supporting role on Boston Manor’s 2019 headliner.
Victim Of A Modern Age will release on January 21st via Rude Records. Pre-orders can be found here, and the full tracklist and the artwork can be viewed below. For a full review of Victim Of A Modern Age and further news on Modern Error, keep it loaded on Boolin Tunes.
