Joe recommends: Pittsburgh hardcore unit PRINCESS are back with rageful single “WISHES FOR AN UNTIMELY DEMISE“, their caustic sound and spiteful lyrics make for a pissed off track. Coming with a massive feature from Street Power vocalist Chris Cesarini that opens up in a breakdown that will see a nose or two adjusted at a show.
Cavekiller – Awake in the Nightmare (feat. Jay Roberts from The Cartographer) (Single)

Max recommends: The UK extreme metal underground comes together on CaveKiller‘s latest single. Despite its imposing exterior, the track is plenty dynamic in terms of tempo and volume, and full of tasteful leads and growled choruses. Jay from The Cartographer lends his voice to unhinge the track at its climax.
Girls Know – Fix Me Baby (Single)

Dobbin recommends: Shoegaze-pop (shoepop, if you will) is alive and well under the banner of Girls Know. Not at all finished with releasing music despite dropping an LP two months ago, “Fix Me Baby” has the heady summer shimmer of Animal Collective with grooves you can more immediately relate to. The best part of its tapestry is the arppegiated synths that creep in towards the track’s end which are playful and unpretentious. Girls Know have a lot to offer beyond their enigmatic aesthetics.
