Brighton unit El Moono have today shared the details of their debut record, The Waking Sun, which is set to release this coming May. The quartet have treated listeners to a new track alongside the announcement, “The First Man On Mars“, being the second single to be released from the record, after “Chains” dropped in the latter stages of 2024. The new track can be listened to below.
Their most recent body of work was one of 2022’s standout EPs, in the form of Temple Corrupted, which displayed El Moono‘s brooding and sludgy sound. The Waking Sun will see El Moono further refine their craft on their thirteen track debut record, while lyrically taking aim the ‘Truman Show‘ show nature of of current society.
Closing 2023 on tour with The Hyena Kill, that saw them perform in varied locations including Cheltenham, Haggerston and Guildford. El Moono will return tot he tour circuit with a handful of warm-up shows in Cardiff, Nottingham and Luton with special guest Sleemo.
