Blanket Announce Upcoming Record ‘Ceremonia’

Soon following on from their impressive EP Blue Eyes, UK unit Blanket have today announced the details of their latest record, Ceremonia. Set to release this coming March, it will be their first full-length since Modern Escapism, which captured the attention of many at home and abroad. The announcement comes alongside the release of the album’s title track, which can be listened to below.

Known for their blend of shoegaze and post-rock, Blanket made their debut in 2017 on EP Our Brief Encounters. In 2021 on the aforementioned Modern Escapism, which featured Kadeem France of Loathe, Blanket saw garner much deserved attention. A follow up came in the form of an EP in Blue Eyes last year, including several new tracks as well as covers including one of “In The House, In A Heartbeat” from the 28 Days Later soundtrack.

Now looking to return to crafting their own sound in full, Blanket look to further refine their well-known sound while adding in wider influences of Britpop and 00s alternative. The quartet recorded Ceremonia at Motor Museum Studios in Liverpool, which has been home to the creation of records from artists such as Bring Me The Horizon, Blood Red Shoes and Spector.
