Max recommends: Wearing the influence of such post-hardcore greats as Hail The Sun and Saosin on their sleeve, With Sails Ahead’s latest outing is a frenzied and tuneful slice of riffy, biting and mathy goodness.
Shooting Daggers – Not My Rival (Single)

Nisrin recommends: Daggers have a rager of a live-year – supporting Scowl, Zulu and Gel whilst being hand picked by Cult of Luna to open Beyond The Redshift. “Not My Rival” ends their year as part of a split single with Death Pill. Riotous punk as ever, it’s the quiet vocals that shine on this track as they’ve truly found their sound, and taken their production up several notches at the same time.
Flight Mode – Hyperventilate (Single)

Dobbin recommends: Fight Mode are keeping consistent with EP number 3 in their third year. A sullen emotive nostalgia trip, “Hyperventilate” continues to demonstrate their knack for making a catchy song. They’ve also announced a signing to Tiny Engines, and an LP that compiles all three of their EPs into a full record. By rights, should put them on the Nth wave emo map where they belong.
Georgie Riot & Courtney Paige Nelson – Knock Out (Single)

Joe recommends: Soft yet up-front vocals over drum and bass works a treat on “Knock Out”, succeeding as a high energy groover but has a quality at lower volumes too, as the vocals are produced carefully by Georgie Riot to preserve the natural delivery from Courtney Paige Nelson.
